We do not take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

Currently the turnaround for collection is 5 working days.
Please ensure you only order what you NEED. Medication waste costs the NHS approximately £300 MILLION a year.
As with last year, we will be allowing patients to order early in December to see you over the Christmas and New Year period. When putting in your December request, please make a note on your repeat slip that you are ordering early for Christmas. If you request your medication online, the system may not allow you to select your medication. If so, use the free text box at the bottom of the page to tell us what you require and that you are ordering early for Christmas. Please note, we will NOT be issuing 2 months of medication.
Collections
Please remember there is 5 working day turn-around for collections.
The final date you must have your requests in by to collect your medication before Christmas Eve is Friday 17th December. Any requests submitted after this date cannot be guaranteed to be ready before Christmas.
Deliveries
There will be no deliveries the week commencing 27th December.
The final date you must have your requests in by to have your medication delivered before Christmas is Wednesday 15th December at 1pm. This will ensure you will receive your delivery on your respective delivery day: Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd or Friday 24th December.
The following delivery deadline will be Wednesday 29th December at 1pm to be delivered week commencing 3rd January.
If you are a patient on our dispensing list i.e. you live more than 1 mile from your nearest pharmacy you can collect your prescribed medication from the surgery. However, if you live less than 1 mile from the nearest pharmacy the rules do not allow us to dispense your medicines and you will have to get your medicines from a chemist. We can arrange for prescriptions to be sent to a chemist of your choice i.e. Skellingthorpe, Saxilby etc. Please note it is your responsibility to indicate where you would like to collect your medication.

Saxilby - Monday - Friday 11:00 – 13:00pm & 16:00 – 18:00

Dispensary phone lines will only be open for queries between 14:00 – 17:00 Monday - Friday.
Please note if ordered on a Friday your next collection will be Wednesday. We do not process prescriptions over the weekend.

In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

Many of us assume that we are entitled to FREE prescriptions, but getting it wrong could cost you. A new campaign from NHS England and NHS Business Service Authority aims to help people understand if they are entitled to FREE prescriptions and how to claim correctly to avoid penalty charge notices of up to £100.

Answering a few simple questions will help you understand if you can tick the box for a free prescription, and what you proof you need to show your pharmacists when you're collecting your prescription, or when it's being delivered to you.
