GP Enhanced Access Appointments

We are pleased to be able to offer our patients, as part of Trent Care Network PCN, access to routine, pre-booked appointments at evenings and weekends. The service is being delivered at the Cleveland Surgery, Gainsborough.

Enhanced Access hours are between 6.30pm-8pm weekdays and 9am-5pm on Saturdays. For more information click here.

 

Urgent Matters

For urgent matters at evenings, weekends and bank holidays, patients will continue to access the GP Out of Hours Services at Lincoln County Hospital via NHS 111.

When the surgery is closed and you have an urgent non-life threatening health issue, ring the free non-emergency medical helpline - NHS 111. Alternativly visit 111 Online by following this link Get help for your symptoms - NHS 111

Out of hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999 for the following.

signs of a heart attack chest pain, pressure, heaviness, tightness or squeezing across the chest. signs of a stroke 
face dropping on one side, can’t hold both arms up, difficulty speaking. sudden confusion (delirium) 
cannot be sure of own name or age. suicide attempt by taking something or self-harming. severe difficulty breathing 
not being able to get words out, choking or gasping. heavy bleeding spraying, pouring or enough to make a puddle. severe injuries 
after a serious accident. seizure (fit) shaking or jerking because of a fit, or unconscious (can’t be woken up). sudden, rapid swelling 
of the lips, mouth, throat or tongue. labour or childbirth waters breaking, more frequent intense cramps (contractions), baby coming, or just born

Urgent advice: Staff Training Afternoons

Trent Valley Surgery will be having monthly staff training afternoons on the following dates from 1pm - 5pm 


Tuesday 21st May 
Tuesday 25th June 
Thursday 18th July
Thursday 26th September
Thursday 24th October 
Thursday 28th November

 

The dispensery will be closed from 1-5pm during this time. 

There will be limited staff on these dates a GP will be available to deal with Emergencies only. 

We apologise for any inconvienece this may cause but this is the only time available for us to train our staff and keep them up to date with continual changes within the NHS.
